over the summer, you'll have from June to the end of August to write a not-so-short story based off of the provided prompts...

length requirement: 2K-5K

deadlines: August 31st 2017

you MUST submit your piece in a PDF format. I WILL be printing your work for my convenience in reading. please add a SHORT copyright to the header or footer of every page.

I will give you a theme, a main character theme, and a problem. That's it. You can start submitting between now and August. Submissions are closed after that. The Winner will be judged based off of most creativity and intrigue in story.

THEME: Something terrible has happened to the world!
(you don't have to base the story around what HAS happened. But you MUST incorporate in into the story's history.)
MAIN CHARACTER: Amber eyes, Orphan, middle name is Ælor
PROBLEM: Something has been lost and he/she must restore it



The Writer's Prompt Challenge (TWPC) is a contest where prompts are provided, and the writers get a chance once a month to write a piece around / including the prompts and stretch their skills in creative writing. Rules, standards, instructions, and prompts are provided in the monthly challenge post. 


  • Submit your entry by posting it on your blog (leaving the link in the challenge post comment section) or email it to me instead.
  • Your response must range between 150 - 500 words. 
  • The deadline for the contest will be the 12:00 AM (your time!) the 29th of the month. 
  • make sure to leave the links to your POST in the comments. (please note that if you ONLY give me the link to your blog, I will not count the entry, and it won't be qualified/entered in the challenge. I need the DIRECT link to the post.)

  • if i find your writing inappropriate, you will be disqualified from that month's challenge (but you can always enter again next month, if you follow the standards)
  • nothing above what woud be PG-13 in cinema
  • violence is OK
  • please use your better judgment on differing inappropriate vs appropriate material (so that I don't have to disqulify you.)


  • You will be able to submit 5 prompts per challenge in the same format as above: three objects, one picture, a piece of dialogue or phrase, a theme, and an acronym or word to be featured in the story (if applicable)
  • I will choose 5 prompts that have been submitted
